Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is the surgical procedure to correct drooping eyelids, pouches beneath the eyes and excess folds around the eyes. During the procedure, excess skin and fat on upper and lower eyelids is removed. Blepharoplasty is often performed in conjunction with other facial procedures such as the facelift and forehead lift. The procedure can change the appearance of the face by creating a more rested and alert look, however it cannot eliminate dark circles under the eye nor banish crow's feet.
